Shipping & Returns for Stamp Orders: What to Check

2025-04-28

Answer first: Before placing a stamp order, review the processing window, delivery address, tracking expectations, return-request deadline, product condition requirements, and the steps for reporting a damaged or incorrect shipment. Save the order number and contact support before sending anything back.

Check the delivery address before payment

Enter the complete recipient name, street address, apartment or suite, city, state, and ZIP Code. A missing unit number or a spelling error can delay delivery or make a package undeliverable. If the address is wrong after checkout, contact support immediately. An address usually cannot be changed after processing or shipment has begun.

Understand processing and shipping time

Processing is the time needed to confirm payment, review the order, and prepare it for shipment. Transit time begins after the carrier receives the package. Weekends, holidays, weather, carrier disruptions, inventory checks, unusual order volume, and address problems can affect either period.

A shipping estimate is not a guaranteed delivery appointment. If a mailing project has a fixed deadline, order early enough to inspect the products and prepare the envelopes before the send date. Read the current Shipping Policy for the store's terms.

Use tracking as one part of the delivery check

Tracking may take time to display the first carrier scan. If the status shows delivery but the package is not visible, check the delivery area, household members, building staff, parcel lockers, and the carrier's local office. Keep the shipment confirmation and order number together.

If tracking stops updating, record the most recent scan and date before contacting support. That makes it easier to distinguish a delayed scan from an address or delivery issue.

Inspect the shipment when it arrives

Compare the received design, format, and quantity with the order. Keep the outer packaging and product packaging until the inspection is complete. If an item is damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, take clear photographs of the package, shipping label, affected product, and quantity received.

Request authorization before a return

Do not send a product to an address found on unrelated paperwork or elsewhere online. Contact support first so the order can be reviewed and the correct return instructions can be provided. Unauthorized returns can be delayed or refused because the correct destination and order details have not been confirmed.

USPSPERFACT's current policy allows a return request within 14 days after receipt, subject to authorization and condition requirements. Review the full Return Policy before opening or handling a product you may need to return.

Protect return eligibility

  • Keep the item unused and in the condition received.
  • Retain original packaging and order documentation.
  • Do not separate, apply, alter, or damage products intended for return.
  • Follow the authorized instructions and return location.
  • Use a trackable return method when instructed and retain the receipt.

How refunds are reviewed

After an authorized return is received, it is inspected against the order and return conditions. If approved, the refund is sent to the original payment method. Banks and payment providers can require additional time to post the credit after it is issued.

Information to include when contacting support

Provide the order number, purchaser name, delivery ZIP Code, product name or URL, quantity involved, and a concise description of the problem. Add photographs when the issue involves damage, incorrect items, or missing quantities. Do not email full payment-card information.
